Cornish Dance:Bucca Dance

This dance was choreographed by Cornish youth music and dance group 'Tan ha Dowr' in 1998 It was the first original dance choreographed by the group, and goes to the tune of the 'Bucca' Song. Bucca's were mythical little people (imps/elves/piskies) who supposedly lived in the mines in Cornwall, and came out at night to cause trouble in Cornish towns and villages

Formation: 2 couple progressive dance. Sicilian circle (couple facing couple around the room).
Steps	One, two, three hop' furry dance step and a side step with a swinging kick.

Bars
1-4	All step right, close left, right again and kick left foot across to the right. Repeat to the left.
5-12	Give right hand to opposite and grand chain back to your original place (right hand across to your opposite and change places, left hand to your partner and changes places, right hand again to your opposite and change places, and left hand back to your partner leading straight into the below swing).
13-16	Swing partner (using 1 2 3 hop step)
17-20	Men change places (right hands)
21-24	Ladies change places (right hands)
25-28	Advance to opposites and retire
29-32	Couples facing clockwise raise arms. Advance and progress to the next couple
