Cornish Dance: HelstonFurry
Furry dances were and are done all over Cornwall. The oldest reference to the furry dance in Helston is in the “Gentleman’s’ Magazine and Historical Chronical” dated 1790 at which time it was already considered to be a very old dance.
Formation: Dance for two couples with ladies on the right, normally as part of a long procession.
Steps “A” music Slip step Helston_Furry
  “B”music One two three hop .
Hold Gentleman holds lady`s left hand in his right at (lady`s) comfortable shoulder height
Bars  
"A" 1-8 All lead forward for 8 steps
"B" 9-12 Gentlemen change places passing right shoulders and turn the other lady
13-16 Gentlemen return to own partners and turn
